Cartuul, the reconditioning workflow platform for automotive dealerships, today announced a live integration with AppraisalPRO, the OBD2 scanning and vehicle condition report tool from FIXD Automotive. The integration writes AppraisalPRO scan results directly to the vehicle record in Cartuul, so the diagnostic condition a car arrives in stays with that car all the way through reconditioning, and dealers can turn what the scan finds into assigned work without switching systems.

Dealers already scan vehicles at appraisal or acquisition, but that diagnostic data usually lives in a separate report. By the time the car reaches recon, the report is somewhere else, and whoever is working the vehicle has to go find it. With AppraisalPRO reports integrated directly into Cartuul, the scan results land on the vehicle record and stay there. The trouble codes and condition data are right alongside everything else happening to that car, including the codes that don't show up on the dash.

From there, the findings become work. Any issue the scan surfaces can become a task on the spot, whether that means assigning a technician to replace a battery, asking the parts department to quote out a part the scan flagged, or routing any other finding to the right person, all tied to the same vehicle record. The finding, the task, and the person responsible live in one place instead of a report on one side and a to-do list on the other.

That pays off throughout the vehicle's time in the store. During recon, the team working the vehicle sees the original diagnostic results and the work coming out of them without leaving the record or digging through email. When there's a call to make on whether to retail or wholesale a unit, the mechanical picture and the estimated cost to address it are in front of the person making it, next to the rest of the vehicle's history in Cartuul. And anywhere else the condition matters, the information is already there rather than sitting in a report someone has to track down.
